We seek new thinking for a new world. That is particularly true when it comes to our environment, where the Tällberg Foundation has long hosted a robust mix of scientists, engineers, policy makers, indigenous leaders, and activists from many disciplines who not only seek solutions, but to motivate people to positive action.
We recognize that cannot be done solely through the power of intellect and analysis; emotional engagement is at least as important. Thus, our activities integrate music, poetry, dance, arts and experiences in nature into our conversations.
The Foundation’s rich musical heritage started with the folk music tradition of Dalarna, Sweden. It expanded over the years to include collaboration with performers like Ane Brun, the Norwegian songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist; Barbara Hendricks, the American operatic soprano and concert singer; Svante Henryson, the Swedish composer, cellist, bass guitarist and double bassist; Magnus Lindgren, Swedish jazz musician; Anne Sofie von Otter, the Swedish mezzo-soprano; Alan Gilbert, American conductor and Swedish cellist Kasja William-Olsen.
